FIDIC
FIDIC contracts are used most commonly for international projects. The FIDIC suite of contracts has expanded to meet market and user requirements. There are numerous FIDIC contract forms, including forms for dredging and reclamation works, design-build operate and the multilateral development bank harmonised edition.
In keeping with the desire for standardisation, all of the contract forms include general conditions (the standard terms) together with guidance for the preparation of the particular conditions (which are contract- and project-specific additions and amendments to the general conditions), a letter of tender, contract agreement and dispute adjudication agreements. Together, the general conditions and the particular conditions comprise the conditions of contract.
