Lettings law and the client
This section covers the issues that agents should consider when taking on a client. Personal security when visiting potential clients' properties is of utmost importance. Agents should also be aware of the legislation and their obligations in relation to taxing of landlords, not discriminating against tenants and marketing properties. In particular, agents should have regard to the general overview of the law set out in Law for lettings agents.
