Container separation Up to some 70% of the total container terminal area is assigned to container stacking. Stacks are separated according to container size and are not mixed. Overheight and overlong containers are stacked separately. Separate stack locations are required for refrigerated and controlled-atmosphere containers requiring an electricity supply.
