Retail property
There are four principal subsectors for the retail property asset class:
- high street investment property - this is the most common subsector and it is considered in full as the first property type (variances from this subsector, as they affect the other subsectors, are set out under the individual topics)
- high street owner-occupied/vacant possession property
- retail warehouse investment property and
- shopping centre investment property.
Specialist retail sector property, such as department stores, factory outlet centres, food superstores and trade parks are considered separately.
