Bicycles may use national roads and specially designated cycle lanes, cycle paths or tracks, but are generally not permitted on footways unless there is a designated separation between pedestrians and cyclists. There may also be separate areas for bicycles at road junctions.
Cycle ways can be provided though redesignating existing footway...
