Although property managers aren’t required to have the skill and experience of a building surveyor, they should be able to recognise some of the common problems and defects that can develop in a residential property.

Understanding the causes of, and solutions to, problems ensures that property managers can advise tenants, landlords and property owners effectively, ultimately avoiding the problems recurring.
