This is a steel framed house built in the 1950s. Called a BISF house, many components were built using asbestos-containing materials, including the roof sheets. This house has a solid fuel, open flue fire with back boiler in the central part of the lounge. The cement-based flue rises through the house and terminates in a steel chimney terminal.
