Summary

A finding of 'extraordinary' and 'disgraceful' negligence was made against architects engaged (amongst other things) to supervise construction of a drainage scheme. The fact that the employer also engaged an incompetent clerk of works (on whom the architect relied, knowing he was incompetent) was no defence.
