The older light switch on the timber backing is one problem but I would be more worried about getting an electric shock from the light fitting when I switched it on. |

This combined light with a heating element is in the bathroom of an older bungalow. Current regulations require light fittings to be fully enclosed in most bathrooms so this falls well below current safety levels |

This fabric-covered wire is tucked away in the roof space of a detached house built in 1981 where the rest of the wiring is in PVC. Clearly a DIY-addition using some vintage cable, it is unlikely to be supported by appropriate certification and could be a safety risk to the occupants. |
