Missing insulation in the loft is the primary cause of this mould growth in a bathroom but it is made worse by a complete lack of sensible ventilation. The windows have no trickle vents, there is no air brick or extract fan. The only way of reducing moisture levels in this room is through opening a relatively large casement window; an action few of us would take especially in the depths of winter.
