Biography

Jim McCluskey BSc (Hons) FRICS FCInstCES is a senior commercial manager working for Kier, within the Nuclear Sector part of the Kier Natural Resources, Nuclear and Networks division. Jim is currently engaged on the 10 Dock project at Devonport Royal Dockyard in Plymouth, where Kier are in joint venture with Bam to construct facilities for submarine maintenance. Prior to this Jim has worked in senior commercial management roles on major infrastructure projects in London and the South East for more than 25 years, including the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (High Speed 1) at St Pancras station, the East London line extension project, Olympic Park infrastructure, Victoria station underground upgrade and the Whitechapel Main Station Works part of Crossrail, and was commercial lead on the HS2 N1 Main Works Civils Contract.

Jim is involved with RICS across a number of areas, including as an APC mentor, assessor and panel chair. Additionally, he is a trustee member of the ICMS coalition and is involved with RICS on the Commercial managers in infrastructure initiative. Jim is also chair of the CICES Commercial management practices committee. In addition to this Jim is also external examiner for the London South Bank University BSc (Hons) Quantity Surveying course.
