Building defects database - Overflow pipe: long-term leakage

Record details

	(a) An overflow pipe caked with limescale deposits. This indicates long-term leakage, confirmed by the surrounding staining and the extent of dampness in the adjacent wall, see image (b) below.
	(b) Water dripping from the overflow pipe in image (a) above was soaking into the adjacent brickwork and spreading out laterally along the first course of bricks above the dpc.
