The original timber gutter at this property was replaced with plastic guttering but the new guttering is further away from the wall face, so it is no longer below the ends of the old pantiles. Rainwater misses the guttering and runs down the fascia, causing it to rot, as well as soaking into the wall. This problem could not have been fully understood if viewed from the ground below.
