Leases of flats contained a covenant for the landlord to provide a resident housekeeper. Whilst the obligation to provide a resident housekeeper included an obligation to provide the residence, the landlord was not entitled to recover a notional rent of the caretaker's flat, as the notional rent was not 'monies expended' within the operative part of the service charge provisions.
