Biography

Alan Plumb BSc FRICS FAAV is Head of Savills Leisure and Trading-related team in Oxford and sits on the national board responsible for directing and developing this area of Savills' practice.

Working locally, nationally and internationally, Alan has comprehensive leisure (including holiday accommodation, visitor attractions, sports and water-based attractions) expertise and residential, development, farm and horticultural sales and valuations experience for loan security, litigation, development, investment, tax, accounts or strategic information purposes.

He also specialises in the valuation of trade-related properties including education, food processing, cemeteries, airfields, waste and recycling, garden centres and quarries; deals with private client, corporate and litigation work; and conducts LPA receiverships.

Having gained a BSc at Reading University, Alan qualified as a chartered surveyor in 1976, joined Savills in 1988 and has managed Savills multi-disciplinary Banbury and Oxford offices.

Alan is an RICS Registered Valuer, a Registered European Valuer and a regular seminar speaker. He is a member of the Expert Witness Institute, the Non-Administrative Receivers Association and the Entertainment & Leisure Forum; is an RICS accredited Fixed Charge Receiver and Fellow of the Rural Valuers Association; and has been an external examiner for Reading University’s land management department.
