Stephen Owens FRICS ACIArb, Director and Head of Rent Reviews, joined Christie + Co in January 2008 as Head of Rent Reviews and is based at the Leeds office.
Stephen is a Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, and is on the RICS Panels of Arbitrators and Independent Experts, who are called upon to resolve rent review disputes. Stephen has over 27 years' experience in the licensed property sector in both private practice and within the corporate sector, including Yates Group PLC as Head of Acquisitions and Property.
In addition to heading the nationwide landlord and tenant team, Stephen is regularly involved in advising banks and insolvency practitioners in portfolio valuation, advisory, restructuring and complex valuation work. He also acts as an expert witness in a variety of disputes ranging from compulsory purchase to professional negligence cases, with court and Lands Tribunal experience.
