James Munro joined the Trading Standards profession in 1989 and now heads the National Trading Standards Estate Agency Team (NTSEAT), which is the UK’s lead enforcement authority for estate agency work.
James is a Chartered Trading Standards Practitioner and was Chair of the Wales Branch of the Chartered Trading Standards Institute from 2013 to 2015. He is a regular speaker at key industry events around the country, including NAEA seminars, the Property Ombudsman conference, and RICS CPD seminars. James was responsible for redeveloping the NTSEAT Guidance on property sales, which gives advice to industry and enforcement agencies on the CPRs and BPRs.

NTSEAT is hosted by Powys County Council and is responsible for issuing prohibition and warning orders to unfit individuals and businesses, and for approving the UK’s 3 consumer redress schemes and alternative dispute resolution services.
