Gilian Macinnes, Director of Gilian Macinnes Associates, has her own consultancy working predominantly with Local Planning Authorities. Prior to this she worked in local government for over 30 years, the majority of which was as Development Management, planning on the ground, and negotiating development proposals and developer contribution; managing planning services; and more recently, with the Planning Advisory Service advising English LPAs, delivering improvement programmes, seminars, and councillor and officer training. She was appointed to the Government's CIL Review Panel in October 2015, is a member of the Royal Town Planning Institute (RTPI) and is a trustee of the Town & Country Planning Association. Gilian is a well-respected expert, communicator and trainer in planning and related areas. In 2016 she was named as one of the most influential women in planning by Planning magazine.
