Winston Jacob has a broad commercial and property based practice. He has particular expertise in property, personal insolvency, consumer credit and debt recovery matters.
Property: Winston undertakes drafting and advisory work and regularly appears in the County Courts and the High Court in both interlocutory applications and trials.
Commercial: he undertakes drafting and advisory work and regularly appears in hearings in the County Courts and High Court across a broad range of commercial/contractual disputes.
Consumer Credit: he advises and provides representation in claims involving all aspects of the Consumer Credit Act 1974 and related legislative provisions.
Insolvency: Winston advises and provides representation in insolvency proceedings in the High Court and County Courts.
Debt recovery: Winston has extensive experience of debt recovery proceedings. Prior to joining Chambers he worked as a solicitors' agent for a number of years, focusing primarily on debt recovery in the County Courts and the Royal Courts of Justice.
Personal injury: Winston advises on liability and quantum and provides representation in fast track trials, disposal hearings and infant settlement applications.
