John Hughes-D'Aeth is a partner in BLP’s market leading Engineering, Construction and Procurement team. He specialises in commercial construction matters and has over 30 years’ experience of advising on procurement strategy and drafting and negotiating construction documentation on behalf of developers, contractors, institutions and public bodies. He has acted for both private consortia and the public sector in relation to a number of PFI projects in the accommodation, health, education and road sectors.
John is recognised in the Chambers Directory and Legal 500 as a leader in his field. The Chambers Guide describes him as 'a respected figure in the sector' who 'inspires great confidence in clients'. He is the Deputy Chairman of the City of London Law Society’s Construction Law Practice Committee.
