Peter Barnes of Blue Sky ADR Ltd, has been involved in the construction industry for over 40 years and in many types of work, including building (new build and refurbishment), civil engineering, and mechanical and electrical installations. He began as a quantity surveyor and has experience of virtually all aspects of quantity surveying and management functions for a building contractor.
Peter has also been involved in complex commercial, contractual and management problems on major construction projects, acted as an expert witness in respect of both liability and quantum issues, and has been appointed to act as an arbitrator, an adjudicator and a mediator. He is a Past Chairman of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators' East Anglia Branch, and a Past Chairman of the Anglia and Central Region of the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors.
