Joshua Askew FRICS CIS HypZert (MLV) REV is a key member of JLL's National Retail Valuation team focused on valuing prime and secondary shopping centres, retail parks and leisure properties and high street retail. Josh is also responsible for compliance related issues within JLL’s Valuation Business and runs an APC valuation programme within JLL.
Joshua spent 6 years in Moscow and has valued in Germany, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Georgia and Ukraine as well as the UK. He is therefore competent at grasping complex and unusual scenarios. Having worked in small teams in less developed markets he has undertaken a wide range of roles including negotiation.
Joshua has led instructions valuing for IFRS, loan security, transactional purposes and listed entities with portfolio values as high as $4,5 billion. He completed the valuation of the retail element of the prestigious Battersea Power Station redevelopment in London. He has also appeared as an expert witness at the London Court of International Arbitration.
